Stansted Professionals Lunch Logo

Great food and great networking too...

The Stansted Professionals Lunch is held on the first friday of each month Baroosh in Bishop's Stortford.

Networking has never been more informal or more enjoyable. Just turn up around 12:30, there's no need to book in advance. Buy yourself a drink - or better still let a colleague buy one for you, and enjoy a short presentation from our sponsor of the month before tucking into delicious Baroosh dishes courtesy of our sponsor.

You can stay as long as you want - or if you really MUST get back to the office, you are free to leave when ever suits you.

This free, informal networking lunch for the region's professionals is usually held on the first Friday of every month, unless something like Easter or Christmas coincides, in which case you will be forewarned. A reminder of the format - the sponsors pay for the food, you just bring yourselves and pay for your own drinks. As informal as that, no booking in, just turn up.

Networking is so much easier when you're wearing a name badge. Haven't got a badge? Give us a call and we'll happily supply one for you.

Our aim is to offer a high-quality, relevant, trustworthy, informative and entertaining service to the community of Bishop’s Stortford and the surrounding area.

Stortford is a great place to live, work and play. We are keen to celebrate that, and to work with and to champion the various sectors of the community – businesses, schools, sports clubs and community groups – that call it home.

We aim to reflect the interests, concerns and views of the people who live here by creating distinctive, intelligent editorial, while offering effective advertising solutions.

Politically neutral, the Bishop’s Stortford Independent is positive and supportive of its community, encouraging interaction and engagement with its audience by being thought-provoking and a trusted source of local news and information.

In editor Paul Winspear and news editor Sinead Corr, the Bishop’s Stortford Independent is led by two people with strong links to the town through their roots, their families and their own personal associations within the community.

The team is based at 12 North Street in the town centre – an address synonymous with Stortford’s local newspaper publishing history since 1861.

The Bishop’s Stortford Independent… here to listen, here because we care.

The Iliffe Media team is based at the Iliffe Print building in Milton, to the north of Cambridge, where the Bishop’s Stortford Independent and its sister title, the Cambridge Independent, are printed.
